Scully says ‘I’m delighted to be asked to make the draw for the Ladbrokes Challenge Cup semi-finals. Many of my greatest career highlights have been in the Challenge Cup, in fact go as far to say the highlight of my career was captaining St Helens to victory over our arch rivals Wigan at the Millenium Stadium, Cardiff in 2004. So while delighted to be doing the draw, envious of the 68 players who will be fighting it out for a place at Wembley in August!
“It will be great to share the occasion with one of the real characters in any sport Chris Kamara! Kammy is a Ladbrokes ambassador, and a great coupe to further promote our great game. See you on the Beeb Sunday!”
Former footballer and manager, Kamara played for teams such as Bradford City, Stoke City and Leeds United in the 70s, 80s and 90s. The television personality and Ladbrokes Challenge Cup ambassador can now be seen presenting popular Saturday night show Ninja Warrior UK and offering his unique perspective on Goals on Sunday.
The BBC will broadcast the semi-final draw on BBC 2 on Sunday June 28 following the completion of the quarter-final tie, St Helens v Widnes Vikings (4.00pm kick-off).
