Watching Commonwealth super-lightweight champion Dave Ryan defend his title recently has only made ESRG sponsored athlete Bradley Saunders hungrier to fight him.
Until Sunders damaged tendons and ligaments in his right hand, the pair were due to meet in Newcastle in April.
Speaking to the Chronicle, Saunders said, “After that I think a lot of fans will want to see me and Dave Ryan fight,” he commented. “I texted (promoter) Eddie Hearn during the show to say that I will fight any one of these any time. I’ll fight anyone, he knows that.”
“I couldn’t be happier for Dave Ryan,” admitted Saunders. “I would say he is one of the most under-rated fighters in Britain.
“I thought Dave Ryan was very, very good. He’s got a lot of grit and determination and he showed everything that I expected to come from him.
“To win after two knockdowns shows just how he good he really is. He shows time and time again that he gets up and what it takes to be a champion because he’s solid.”
